Chocolate muffins with chocolate icing

I’m one of those people who probably could have lived off just eating chocolate, even though it’s not healthy, I can’t imagine my life without the lovely unhealthy chocolate. What I just love about this recipe here is just how easy it is to make and how amazingly delicious it is to serve, not least eating these. This is something you can whip up quickly if you get unexpected visits, or you are visiting others or at least children will love them as much as the adults or even more, they can be served in birthday parties, they can also be served in family dinners or because you are like me and just make them for yourself.

I spend a total of about 30 minutes on these delicious muffins here.

You need:

Muffin stir:

  • 5.2 deciliters / 2. 2 cup flour
  • 4.7 deciliters / 2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons baking cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 200 grams/ 7 oz of melted butter
  • 2 deciliters / 0.8 cup water

icing:

  • 250 grams/ 8.8 oz of icing sugar
  • 3 tablespoons baking cocoa
  • 150 grams/ 5.2 oz of melted butter

Here’s what you do:

Start by melting the butter, while the butter melts, crack the eggs in a bowl and add the sugar, start stirring until the sugar starts to melt. Then add salt, baking soda, baking cocoa, sour cream, flour and butter and water mixed together, and stir everything into a lovely stir.

You will need 16 large muffin shapes and add about two tablespoons of muffin stir per muffin shape.

You should cook at 190 ° C / 374 ° F for about 15 minutes.

Let them cool as you start the glaze. Take a smaller bowl add the icing sugar, baking cocoa and melted butter and stir well until you get a thick but lump-free glaze. Then take a fork or a thin knife and insert some thin holes in the muffins so that chocolate melts inside the thin holes you have made. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Although I personally think they are best to eat when the muffins are hot. I’m probably not one of those waiting long to say it easily.
