Homemade oat biscuits are one of my favorites, they are both healthy and good. You can make a lot at once and have them for longer, so you can treat yourself to something good when you wish.
I spend just over an hour on these cookies here.
- 225 grams/ 7.9 oz of dairy butter
- 94 grams/ 3.3 oz of sugar
- 3 ¼ deciliters/ 1.3 cup of milk
- 313 grams/ 11.0 oz of oatmeal
- 3 ¼ tbsp baking powder
- 225 grams/ 7.9 oz of wheat flour
THIS IS WHAT YOU DO
Melt the dairy butter and add in the sugar and milk. Pour the liquid over the grits and leave for approx. 30 minutes.
Mix the baking powder in a little of the flour and mix it into the pulp. Knead in so much flour that the pulp can be rolled out to a thin strip.
Stick out round biscuits with glass or cut squares. Dot the biscuits with a fork and fry them golden in the oven at 185 ° C/ 365 ° Fahrenheit for about 10 – 12 minutes. Cool on a rack.
Keep the biscuits in a tightly closed box. They taste great with butter and cheese.
I went for melted chocolate this time around, seems it gives an extra kick when I want to eat something extra sweet and delicious.
