Meatballs are something my kids love, it’s a big favorite here in the house, had it been up to them so we would have eaten meatballs every day.
Meatballs can be used for different dinners, you can make pasta with meatballs, pizza with meatballs, meatballs can be lashed in brown sauce or served with broth, traditionally along with boiled potatoes and either fried onions, sauerkraut, pea or cabbage stews. The dish is often served with cranberry jam as an accessory. There is a lot you can do with meatballs and vary the meatball dinner from week to week.
I spend about 30 minutes on the meatballs.
400 grams of minced meat
50 grams of onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon paprika powder
3 tablespoons cream
2 tablespoons grill meal
1 teaspoon salt
coarsely ground pepper
This is what you do:
Fry the finely chopped onion in oil until it is glossy and soft. Cool.
When the onion is cooled, mix all ingredients well in a bowl.
Use a small tablespoon to dip in cold water before portioning and shaping the meat dough bowls.
Fry the meatballs in regular olive oil on medium heat for 5–7 minutes, until they have color on all sides and are pierced. Divide a meat bowl after five minutes to see if it is finished. You may want to let the balls get a proper crust on one side before you turn them over or shake the pan to roll the balls around.
