Salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus

Salmon has a mild, round and rich taste, with a clean aftertaste. It has a solid orange red meat with white marbling. Salmon is a versatile raw material that has become a part of many different food cultures worldwide. It is suitable for almost all types of spices and cooking methods, both in cold and hot dishes. Norwegian farmed salmon is perfect for raw consumption, and is one of the few fish species one can eat raw without freezing the raw material in advance.

Today for dinner we had salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus beans beside.

I spend about 30 minutes on this dish here.

You need:

  • 2,5kg/ 5.5 pounds potatoes
  • 3 deciliter/ 1.2 cup whipping cream
  • 150 gram/ 5.2 oz asparagus prayer
  • 500 gram/ 17.6 oz salmon
  • 1 lemon
  • Salt

  • Parsley

The potatoes are peeled and cooked for about 25 minutes, I usually make mashed potatoes using whipped cream, salt and black pepper.

The asparagus prayer is boiled just under 10min.

The salmon is baked in the ovens in foil, I have added lemon, black pepper, salt and some parsley.
